New data from growers in the Americas has revealed a strong 2025 cranberry crop, about 5% down on 2024’s record-breaking harvest, with average harvests in the US being partially offset by strong performances in Canada and Chile.
While harvests in the core growing areas of Wisconsin, Massachusetts and Eastern Canada were steady, it was British Columbia which delivered a near-record crop in 2025 thanks to the adoption of new varieties of cranberry and updated farming practices. Further south, Chile produced more crop than 2025.
Jacqui Fairey at J.O. Sims, said: “While 2025 has been an average harvest, demand for dried cranberries has continued to climb, driven by the rising interest in healthy snacks and general increasing awareness by consumers of the health benefits of cranberries.”
“We will be finalising our imports in the weeks ahead so would welcome conversations regarding our crop positions.”
